I write much more extensively about this relationship in my book, Organumics: An Epigenetic Re-Framing of Consciousness, Life, and Evolution. Very briefly, I do think we share a universal consciousness, but not because our brains are antennae. Rather, I argue that animals, plants, and even ideas share a foundation of consciousness as a function of a shared evolutionary origin. I discuss the structure and nature of this shared consciousness in a 7-part YouTube series called Dominance in Duality.
